Washingtonville 9/11 memorial

A candlelight service is held at the Washingtonville 5 Firefighters World Trade Center Memorial each year on Sept. 11. The Memorial was built in honor of five FDNY firefighters from Washingtonville and the many others who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center terrorist attack. When the 9/11 anniversary takes place on a clear night, the beams from the Tribute in Light in Manhattan can the seen from the Washingtonville memorial.
